AAP - THE TEAM

Ernst A. Bütler is a founding partner of AA-Partners Ltd. and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Bütler has more than 45 years of experience as a finance expert. He was a senior banker at Credit Suisse and Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was a Managing Director and Co-Head Switzerland of Corporate and Investment Banking. Prior to this position, Mr. Bütler was Global Head of the Multinational Division at Credit Suisse in Zürich where he had global responsibility for the top 60 Swiss-based MNCs. Later he was a Partner at Partners Group, now one of the largest Private Equity houses worldwide. Today, Mr. Bütler is member of the board of various companies in Switzerland, China, Germany, UK and the USA.

Mr. Bütler got his education at the University of Applied Sciences of Zurich, at INSEAD Fontainebleau/France and at the MIT Boston/USA.

Beat Hess is founding partner of AA-Partners Ltd.

From February 2005 until founding AAP Mr. Hess was as Vice President  at Bank Leu responsible for the product management and development of fund of hedge fund and equity products. From 2000 to 2003 Mr. Hess was Compliance Officer at Fondvest Ltd., a subsidiary of UBS Ltd., and responsible for fund research and education. Following the integration of Fondvest into UBS Mr. Hess headed the fixed income and real estate fund research.

Beat Hess holds a Master of Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich) and a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Zurich.

 

Gabriel Mäder is partner of AA-Partners Ltd.

Before joining AAP Mr. Mäder has been Director at Swiss&Global Asset Management, the former asset management department of Bank Julius Bär, responsible for institutional private label fund clients since 2006. From 2003 to 2006 Mr. Mäder was Director at UBS Wealth Management Research in the fund research department. Mr. Mäder started his professional career 2001 at CSI Consulting in Zurich.

Gabriel Mäder holds a Master of Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich).
