The AAP indices track the performance of open-end funds in the longevity and mortality space. Longevity and mortality are largely non-correlated to interest rates, the economic development, stocks, bonds and therefore may improve the risk-reward profile of traditional portfolios.
AAP calculates two different indices currently, the AAP Investable Life Settlement Index and the AAP Investable Life Index.
The main difference between the indices is the composition. The AAP Investable Life Settlement Index is comprised just of open-end life settlement funds whereas the AAP Investable Life Index encloses funds with a strategy in the mortality space as well as in the longevity space.
Past returns are no indication of future ones. The performance of values and returns does not include the fees and costs which may be charged when replicating the index. Returns are gross of tax.
